**SPECIAL** $1 EUROPE eSIM

Australia Post International Roaming SIM

Australia Post International Roaming SIM

**UPDATE** Australia Post have TRIPLED the price of their International Roaming SIM. Yes they've double the inclusions, but with such small amounts on offer it hardly represents any value at all anymore

Australia Post have resurrected their Travel SIM offering with a new and really cheap International Roaming SIM.

Australia Post $15 International Roaming Plan

Includes

  • 100 Call Minutes
  • 100 SMS
  • 100MB Data
  • 30 day expiry
  • Coverage in 90+ countries

If there is anything we've learnt about the telco is that if something is too good to be true, then it usually is! So, what's the catch?

In a word, Internet Data.

Australia Post have seen fit to provide users with 100MB of Data for 30 Days.

Yes, that figure is correct, 100MB for a whole month!

What's worse is that when you exhaust the 100MB (most likely moments after you have landed and turned off flight mode), your calls and SMS will be unusable and you will be forced to recharge.

There are few recharge options available, but the effective rate of Internet Data is $150 per GB.

To highlight how insane that rate is check out our Travel SIM pricing that starts form just a couple of dollars per GB

It seems that the Australia Post Travel SIM team must have some pretty resilient customer service representatives or they are banking on the fact that once overseas you'll be too drunk to care about the cost!

Jokes aside, we do believe this is great product for those who just need:

  • An Australian mobile number to be contacted on when overseas
  • To make and receive phone calls
  • Send the odd text message (inbound SMS as typically free of charge)

In addition to using it overseas, we also believe it could be an excellent low cost option for a child or senior to use in their phone, or for low bandwidth IoT (Internet of Things) use cases (like device trackers).

Our advice to using this product effectively:

  • Turn off Internet Data!
  • Use the Travel SIM Card for calls and SMS only
  • Get a 2nd Travel SIM for Internet usage

This is the part where we can help. We offer great Travel SIM solutions for Internet usage that can be used with the Australia Post International Roaming SIM to enable you to stay connected on your next overseas adventure.

Our recommendation will depend on the type of device you have:

  • eSIM compatible devices (iPhone XR onward)
  • Dual SIM devices (many Android phones)
  • Single SIM devices (older model iPhone & Android)
